Dust Collector

Check Wear Plate

  1. 1.
Check the inlet and the wear plate (A) for wear. The drill cuttings destroy the filter if the wear plate is heavily worn.

    NOTE

Operating with a malfunctioning filter causes wear on the fan impeller resulting in unbalance, which destroys the hydraulic motor, fan impeller and fan housing.

Check Dust Collector

  1. 1.
Check that the suction hoses are intact and sealed. Replace if necessary.
  2. 2.
Check that the dust gasket (A) is intact and seal around the pipe. Replace if necessary.
  3. 3.
Check that the inlet connector pieces (B) is not worn through. Change if necessary.
  4. 4.
Check Inlet and wear plate (B) for wear. If the wear plate is heavily worn, the drill cuttings will destroy the filter. Replace the wear plate if necessary.
  5. 5.
Check that the wear protection (C) is well secured and not heavily worn. Replace if necessary.
  6. 6.
Clean the filter housing (C) if drill cuttings have fastened on the wall of the filter housing.
  7. 7.
Check the filters (C). The filters must be replaced for DCT if clogged or damaged to extract sufficiently.

Check Torque Tightening on Dust Collector

  1. 1.
Check fastening on the four bolts (B) of the dust collector (A).
  2. 2.
Check fastening on the 12 bolts (C) of the dust collector (A).

Tightening Torque

B

73 Nm (54 lb-ft)

C

20 Nm (15 lb-ft)

Replace Dust Collector Filter

  1. 1.
Open the hatch with the four wing nuts and replace all the filters (A).
  2. 2.
Use the supplied special tool to remove the filters (A).

    NOTE

Screw the filters counterclockwise to remove and clockwise to install (seen from below).
