Check Coolant Level

Precondition

  • Diesel engine is cold.

  1. 1.
    Check that the coolant level is between the upper and lower mark in sight glass (A).

Add Coolant

NOTICE

Mixing Coolant

Mixing coolant can damage the equipment.

  1. Do not mix the coolants.

Use only ready mixed coolant that meets ASTM with DG210.

  1. 1.
    Loosen the radiator cap (A) to the stop position to release the pressure in the cooling system.
  2. 2.
    Remove the radiator cap (A).
  3. 3.
    Fill the coolant until the level is between the upper and the lower mark in the sight glass (B).

Clean Radiators

The radiators must be kept clean to maintain efficient cooling.

  1. 1.
    Check that the radiators (A) are not clogged.
  2. 2.
    Use compressed air to clean the radiators (A).

Replace Long-term Effective Coolant

  1. 1.
    Replace the long-term effective coolant (ECL).
