Check Fire Extinguishers

    Check that the indicator is in the green zone. Replace the fire extinguisher if the indicator is in the red zone.
  2. 2.
    Check the seals for damage. Replace the seals if necessary.
  3. 3.
    Check the fire extinguisher body and holder for damage. Replace the fire extinguisher if necessary.

    NOTE

    Follow the instructions on the handheld fire extinguisher for further maintenance.

Loosen Up Powder in Handheld Fire Extinguisher

The powder in a fire extinguisher can settle to the bottom of the canister over time. This reduces the effectivity of the extinguisher.

    Tap the fire extinguisher canister carefully with a rubber mallet in order to loosen-up the powder.
