On the charger post, the touch screen provides user interface. The touch screen has seven main active fields.

Charge the Battery Machine

  1. 1.
    Choose the right charging plug for the machine.
  2. 2.
    Attach the plug to the machine.

    NOTE

    Make sure that the charging plug is correct inside the socket.

  3. 3.
    Charging initialization starts automatically in CCS charging.
  4. 4.
    Follow the charger post on-screen instructions.

    NOTE

    Only if function is enabled, charging status can be viewed with a smartphone by scanning the QR-code from the touch screen.

  5. 5.
    Once the authorization is completed, the session starts automatically as the handshake procedure between machine and the charger is finished. 4-step donut -indicator indicates safety steps on the touch screen.
    1. Indicator (A) illuminates when the cable is locked in the machine.
    2. Indicator (B) illuminates when the communication is established and the machine communicates with the charger.
    3. Indicator (C) illuminates when isolation test starts. Safety check starts.
    4. Indicator (D) illuminates when the isolation test is passed. Safety checks completed and charging session starts.
  6. 6.
    The touch screen indicates the SOC Scale, how much energy is charging time.
  7. 7.
    The charging status is also indicated on the status light bar on the charge post.

    NOTE

    Red color status light indicates fault.

  8. 8.
    If the charging sequence is interrupted, the charging stops and shows fault status in red color (until connector is disconnected) and the display shows red background on top indication bar.
  9. 9.
    The end of the charging sequence can be due to following,
    1. Battery is full - charging ends automatically when SOC level of the battery is achieved.
    2. User presses the stop button (E) on the display or physical button (F) below the display.

      NOTE

      The plug-in must be disconnected for the new charging session.

  10. 10.
    Return the charging plug to its holder. Charger post indicator LED turns blue to green and is ready to start charging again. Charging session information lasts up to another 10 seconds on the touch screen.
