Troubleshooting

If the charging session does not start or the charge post indicates an error in the touch screen or light bars, there are possible causes as follows:

Touch screen of the charge post is black and is not activated

No power

Take a note of the Charge post ID. For example, S3 and open charger cabinet and find out if appropriate power module or any power module is indicating red.

Charge post is defective

Contact service partner or proceed to instructed field service activity.

Charging session does not start

Charging plug is not plugged correctly

Remove the plug and plug it in again.

Starting of charging instructions are not done properly

Follow the steps 3 – 8 on instruction

Charging plug is wet or dirty or damaged by the mechanical locking section of the plug

Clean the plug and proceed to instructed field service activity on broken plug replacement

The machine timer prevents charging

Check machine settings

Charging plug is overheated

Long charging session can build up heat to plug on a warm day. Wait for a while.

Machine is not fully charged or session takes extensive time

Reduction of charging current

When the ambient temperature is nominal, the charger cabinet charging current can be reduced to keep the power modules from overheating.

Charging plug is locked to the machine socket

Charging session is not ended by the machine, plug is always locked during charging session

End the charging session according to machine operating manual. In some of the machines, pressing start button for several seconds can open the locking.

Charge post cable handling causes more stress to plug keeping mechanical locking

Support the cable slightly to relieve pressure on the plug. Stop session again.

Status light bars indicate red and top menu of the touch screen indicates red

Error code on the charge post touch screen E01 – E99

Error situations need to be acknowledged by unplugging the battery. Write down the error codes for future reference. Ask supplier for error code list.
