Risks and Hazards
Hazard Zones
Hazard zones are areas within or around the remote machine in which a person can be exposed to or cause a hazard. All personnel must avoid entering the hazard zones around the remote machines.
The hazard zone is the minimum safe distance from the machine while it is operational.
The hazard zone only applies to personnel wearing hearing protection, protective safety glasses, and a helmet. Personnel without these protective items must remain a much greater distance away from an operational remote machine.
